I got off to a rocky start with my vitamins because why? Because I kept forgetting to take them! Fortunately they are pre-packaged so I just had to rip off a couple of strips and put them in various places (my purse, laptop bag, etc.). Problem solved.
So today marks a full week of taking my supplements. I do love the convenience factor (rip a pack and go) and I love that the pills aren’t horse-sized. They are all normal-sized capsules which I can take in one fell swoop. I am noticing some burping of the Omega 3 supplement, which is just something that happens with fish oil. The burping isn’t as bad as some Omega pills I’ve taken, but it is fairly noticeable nonetheless. It tends to subside by lunch time. But what really helps is taking them on a FULL stomach, rather than with something small like an apple or a handful of nuts.
But here’s something I have noticed that has already improved. I had been dieting in the few weeks prior to starting this new regimen and had noticed some tell-tale signs of nutrient deficiency (symptoms I had experienced several years ago while on a vegan diet, which included side pain, a fluttering stomach, dizziness, and lethargy). Those symptoms have cleared up even though I am still dieting (thus likely still not getting sufficient nutrients). I am super happy about that because the symptoms were really uncomfortable.
All in all, I feel really good and look forward to what the next couple of weeks bring after they get fully integrated into my system.
- Throw a few strips of VitaMe packs into your bags, desk drawers, or car glove box to make sure you’ve always got one on hand, if you forget to take one at your usual time.
- Try taking Omega 3 Supplements after a full meal to help squash fishy burps.
